Buy Flex 2 for Less
I just noticed today that you can buy Adobe Flex from Amazon and save a few bucks. They have Flex Builder 2 with Charting for $715.99 (it cost $749 on Adobe.com), and the standard Flex Builder 2 for $459.99 ($499 on Adobe.com). Both will ship for free.

Amazon S3 Storage Engine for MySQL
I got an email today from O'Reilly today about the MySQL Conference (coming up at the end in April), it looks like a pretty good conference, but one of the sessions caught my eye. It was called A Storage Engine for Amazon S3.

Amazon's EC2 and S3 to take on Google?
I can't help but thinking that Amazon's new Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) web service, and their S3 storage service are being launched to compete with Google. Or at least help decrease Google's dominance (and make some bucks in the process).

I just noticed today that you can tag products on Amazon, check out this screen shot:I wonder if they will be providing access to this through their API? Perhaps Jeff Barr, or someone else over at Amazon Web Services could let us know.

CodeFetch
CodeFetch is a clever little app that searches published books for code samples matching your search. So if you search for cfmail you will get code samples from several books on ColdFusion. You can then of course buy the books through amazon.

Fooling Amazon
As I mentioned the other day I ordered Mac OSX 10.4 for $95 off of Amazon. Since Tiger is not out yet, and I selected free shipping, and group my packages into as few shipments as possible, Amazon was holding the other items that I ordered and waiting to ship them until Tiger arrived.

I just ordered my upgrade to Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger off of Amazon because they have a $35 mail in rebate if you order by May 1st.I also grabbed a copy of iWork 05 for $74, and iLife 05 for $69.99 (saving another $16). You can get some good deals at Amazon on Apple software.

OpenSearch by Amazon's A9 Search Engine
Amazon's A9 Search engine has just added a very cool feature called OpenSearch. The idea is pretty simple, web sites can submit RSS feeds for their search results to the A9 OpenSearch web site, then users can search lots of sites from one portal, or search aggregator.

Central Book Finder Application
Now that Central 1.5 is out, I can release this Central Book Finder Application that I wrote back in December when Central 1.0 was out.I couldn't release it under the Central 1.0 license, but now with the Central 1.5 Open Distribution License I can.
