Tracking JavaScript Events with Google Analytics
Did you know that you can track JavaScript events with Google Analytics? I just found this out... It's pretty cool, because allows you to track things like outbound link clicks, AJAX calls, static files, and more.

What's New in BlueDragon 7?

MySQL Command Line Help
I tend to use MySQL from the interactive command line shell quite a bit (SSH to your db server and type the command mysql to start). I noticed today that there is a pretty extensive built in help system in this command.

Target Sued over Accessibility
This is pretty big news for web developers. Most of us are aware of Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act that requires all government related web site to make all content accessible to people with disabilities.

Job Maps - Indeed Job Search + Google Maps
I just launched a new site this morning called JobMaps. It uses the Indeed Job Search Engine, and the Google Maps API to show you just exactally where the job your searching for is located. I think the site will be pretty handy for people looking for jobs in a large area (such as an entire state).

Widon't and Widows
Shaun Innman posted about a technique he call's Widon't, for dealing with the widow problem on the web.The widow problem is when you have a single word on a line by itself, at the end of a headline or paragraph. In typesetting this word is called a widow.

Adobe has the Greenest Office in the US
Adobe was in the September 2006 Business 2.0 magazine for having the greenest office in America. Congrats Adobe!The article shows that Adobe has invested $1.1 million in energy efficiency, and is now saving $1 million annually! That's a great example for other big companies to follow.
