A product that is used by thousands of people, including The White House, The Pentagon, US Congress, Pfizer, Boeing, Hewlett Packard, Sony, and AutoByTel. In the first two versions of this product I was the only developer, the current version has 5 developers which I led. This product is written in ColdFusion, JSP, and ASP, and utilizes ActiveX, JavaScript, and DHTML.

A Server Side Spell Checker written in java. Has a supplied client side spell checking interface written in JavaScript and HTML, its a fairly complicated front end that runs on all 4.0 browsers. Written as a ColdFusion CFX tag, and a JSP taglib.

Northern Safety is a company that sold over 10,000 products through a mail order catalog. All business data is kept on a HP 9000 mainframe. Our task was to build a web application that provides online ordering that hooks into the legacy system. This was achieved through an XML gateway. I served mainly as a trouble shooter, and performance analyst. I more than quadrupled performance by analyzing bottlenecks, and writing faster code. Some of the improvements I made include writing a high speed context specific XML parser, optimizing complex database queries, and writing database stored procedures. |
